Always a creator, I have loved exploring and honing my jewelry design for more than 15 years. The bold, cheerful design aesthetic of Ethel and June’s upcycled vintage pieces was born out of my passion for hand-creating jewelry and my (possible?) obsession with the authenticity and uniqueness of vintage and antique goods.

Ethel and June, named for my two maternal great grandmothers, is a tribute to the deep-rooted love of a small-town big family with fierce female role models, that nurtured my sense of creativity fostered my appreciation for things of old.

My ever-talented, and generally fantastic, mother introduced me to the joy of "the hunt"; scouring antique shops, flea markets, and thrift stores looking for the next diamond-in-the-rough upon which to rub a little love and turn into something fabulous. Today, curating gorgeous vintage pieces to incorporate in my jewelry designs is one of my favorite steps in my process.

Each piece of Ethel and June jewelry is made by me in my home design studio. As a military spouse, this design studio is constantly on the move. We are currently back overseas in Manama, Bahrain*. I cultivate my studio to be a place fostering creativity. The walls are adorned with DIY decor projects and art made by my children. Usually working to the sounds of a female country artist or some indie pop, I sit down with a glass of iced tea, my tools, a handful of tassels or a strand of gemstones, and a tray of collected vintage jewelry to create my next design.

It’s so important to me to creat high-quality, well made designs that will last. I always use the highest quality materials in my designs - 14k gold filled and sterling silver findings, genuine gemstones, and beautifully handmade and responsibly sourced tassels. Those with metal allergies should find my designs easy and comfortable to wear.

I hope when you pop in a pair of Ethel and June earrings, you do a little joyful happy dance and relish the tiny bit of history hanging from your ears.
